Friday 10th June - Matua's Army Mufti Day
Matua Murray is our Kaumatua and was present at our first ever school Powhiri last year.  He has been a KapaHaka teacher on the Hibiscus Coast for the last 30 years and is also one of the Kaumatua for the Waitemata and Rodney Police.  He is a valuable member of many community organisations.
Matua Murray was recently diagnosed with a brain tumour and we as a school (along with other HBC schools) would like to hold this mufti day as a Koha to support him and his wife Mere as they fight through this battle.
Children are invited to wear mufti and give a gold coin donation.
